Bubble Tea

Bubble tea is drink which originated from Taiwan, it is usually fruit flavoured, milk tea or a bit of both and contains tapioca pearls which are the small jelly like bubbles. There are many different types of bubble tea but the most popular is the pearl milk tea.

 
How To Make Bubble Tea.
  
Ingredients:
  • Tapioca pearls (can be bought from an Asian grocery store)
  • Sugar syrup
    • one cup of brown sugar mixed with one cup of white sugar boiled with two cups of water and let it cool 
  • Water
  •  Tea (any type)
  • Cream
  • Ice
  1. Pre-soak the pearls for a few hours if you want them tender all the way through, rather than soft on the outside and chewy on the inside.
  2. Put the tapioca pearls in water with a 1:7 part ratio and boil (make sure the pearls don't stick to the bottom). Do this until pearls float to the top and leave it to cool.
  3. Rinse the pearls with cold water and mix with sugar syrup.
  4. Now make the tea (which can be done while pearls are cooling)
  5. Mix the tea with 2 tablespoons of cream and 1 tablespoon of sugar syrup with in a shaker
  6. Mix till mixture is frothy then add the tapioca pearls
  7. Enjoy!!!!
